
KMRD's Year in Review
Dear Valued Clients, Partners and Prospects,
We would like to take this opportunity to provide you an overview of 2009.
Clients are the focus of everything we do
The economy has been a challenge for our clients and KMRD. However we are thankful for our results relative to our less fortunate competitors. Each day we are becoming more than just "the best kept secret in Doylestown"! Here's why:
- We were recognized by Inc. 5000 as one of the fastest growing privately-held companies in the United States. Thank you to our loyal and well run clients.
- We completed a study that showed when prospects that select KMRD as their sole representative in the insurance marketplace they were delivered a savings that far exceeded the industry's average.
- We delivered a renewal rate savings to our clients that exceeded the industry's average. This is a credit to their ability to work with us in maintaining or improving their loss experience and risk profile.
- We hired additional staff to assist us in maintaining one of, if not the, lowest client to employee ratio in our industry. We thank Temple Risk Management Department for assisting us in finding the talent worthy of our clients.
- We maintained 100% of our clients served by our Warrington Location. Limerick retained over 99%. Who else can say that?
- We grew by more than 14% by partnering with well-run clients and carefully adding new clients that fit our target size and management philosophy. The economy had a negative impact on our ability to achieve all of our goals, but we are thankful nonetheless.
- Our pipeline of companies that want to learn more about our completely unique approach to coverage and risk management is good but we will welcome any new introductions! We will continue to aggressively search for clients that need our help.
We are continuously learning and improving
2009 was another eventful year from an infrastructure standpoint which was necessitated by our growth. We:
- Expanded our space more than 5 -fold and committed another 5 years to our Warrington and Limerick locations.
- Implemented improvements to the efficiency of our small business processes using technology to serve our clients better.
- We trademarked
, on the advice of our marketing and legal counsel to better differentiate our brand and protect one of our key collaborative processes.
- We analyzed 1,417 (50% more than last year!) policies bringing our database of unique coverage reviews to a total of 3,777. This equates to over 500,000 individual coverage points! We are in the information business. The daily increase in our intellectual capital serves our clients better.
- We generated 45,183 documents saved to our document management system and are now have a total of 186,445. How is that for a productivity measure? We are in the information business and our ability to build on our intellectual capital in an organized fashion assists us in serving our clients better.
- We recovered quickly from a total failure of our server but learned a few things in the process. Call us, we would be happy to share this story!
